Horse Riding, Hidden Gems & One Last Food Marathon!

Horse Riding, Hidden Gems & One Last Food Marathon! You know that feeling when it's the last day of a trip and suddenly every minute feels precious? Suddenly, you want to visit every attraction, try every local dish, take a hundred more pictures, and somehow squeeze three days of exploring into a few hours. Yep, that was me on our last day in Shimla. After spending the previous day exploring the town, visiting Jakhu Temple, and discovering some delicious (and not-so-delicious) food, it was time for one final adventure. The plan was simple: explore a few more places, enjoy the mountain views, eat as much as humanly possible, and make the most of our last day. Simple plan. Slightly questionable food decisions. Absolutely no regrets. Breakfast First, Adventures Later Before heading out for the day's sightseeing, we started with breakfast at the hotel. The food was decent, nothing particularly memorable, but the bill? Oh, that was memorable. We paid ₹1,800 for breakfast, and ...

Mountain Views, Monkey Mischief & a ₹600 Food Disaster

Mountain Views, Mischievous Monkeys & a ₹600 Food Disaster! There are three things you should know about my first day in Shimla: the mountains were breathtaking, the monkeys were tiny little thieves, and a ₹600 apple-walnut pie nearly ruined my relationship with food. Welcome to Shimla! A place where the clouds look close enough to touch, the mountain air makes you forget your city-life problems, and a simple food outing can turn into an unexpected adventure. Our first day was a mix of peaceful mountain views, temple visits, street-food discoveries, and a few experiences that left us either smiling or questioning our life choices. So, if you're planning a trip to Shimla, here's how our day unfolded. 5 AM in Shimla: Sleep First, Explore Later We finally reached Shimla around 5 AM after what felt like an endless journey. And after spending so many hours travelling, I had absolutely no desire to become a tourist just yet. My only goal? A comfortable bed and uninterrupted sle...

Day 1: Pune to Mumbai – Heat, Hunger, Chaos & The Start of My Journey

🌄 The Beginning of My Trip Day 1 started with a mix of excitement and nervousness. I woke up early, packed my bags, and headed to Swargate bus stand in Pune to begin my journey to Mumbai. I had planned to take a Shivneri bus to Dadar, even though my train was from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus — it just felt like the most practical option. By 1 PM, I was finally on my way. 🎟️ Long Queue & Booking Reality Before the journey even began, there was already a struggle waiting for me. At Swargate bus stand, I had to stand in line for almost 30 minutes . There were so many people heading to Mumbai — it was honestly packed. The ticket cost me around ₹450–₹500 , which felt a bit expensive, but I didn’t really have any other option. And honestly, the most frustrating part? Online booking wasn’t reliable at all. I don’t know if it’s improved now, but at that time I could only see basic non-AC buses online. The better buses like Shivneri either didn’t show up or weren’t avai...

Nepal Trip Cancelled?! My Mumbai Travel Story & IRCTC Waitlist Nightmare 💔🏔️

The Trip That Never Began | Mumbai to Nowhere 💔🏔️ 13th April. The day I was supposed to finally leave for Nepal. I had imagined this day so many times — the excitement, the journey, the feeling of starting something I had been waiting for. But the day had other plans. I woke up early, already feeling a little uneasy. At first, I ignored it, thinking it was just nervous excitement. But within some time, I started coughing… and then suddenly, I felt worse and even threw up. For a moment, I paused. Should I cancel? But then I looked at my packed bags. Months of planning… and I still decided to go ahead. (Looking back, maybe I should’ve listened to my body 😅) After getting ready, I did my usual prayers, took blessings, and left. There was still hope. I booked a bus to Mumbai — ₹950. The journey felt longer than usual, maybe because I wasn’t feeling my best. Still, the excitement of the trip kept me going. By around 5 PM, I reached Dadar. My train was at 10 PM. Which meant I had time — t...
