Day 2 of Malvan, 26 March 2024

.

Woke up early in the morning 🌄as we planned to go out and do sightseeing. We woke up around 8-9 and had breakfast. For breakfast, we had poha and amboli with coconut chutney. They also had egg omelette, but we dont eat non-veg, so we didn't have that. I ate this type of amboli for the first time in Malvan. My nani makes it in a different way. It’s made of rice batter, easy to digest, and delicious. We also had coffee. Then we went to have a bath, but after that, we both had a huge fight because of some stupid stuff, which hurt my ego, and I wasn’t talking to him. So the hours in between were spent watching 📺 TV, sitting in the room. Now it was almost 1, and I was feeling hungry, so I decided to get ready and go out to have lunch, but he, the monkey(bubbles), followed me there as well. I was upset, angry, and wanted to laugh, but stayed silent. Then we decided that we would go to Atithi Bamboo to have lunch, but as we reached there, we found out it was closed for the day. So we had no idea where to go, but by that time, an aunty came to us and told us to go to another good homemade food place, Hotel Vishal. So we went there triple seat as we didn’t know the road and also it wasn’t showing on Google maps. As we reached there, it was also kind of full, but still, we got a place to sit. Then we ordered one veg thali. The food was tasty. Also, since it was homemade, they weren't too spicy, and not many masalas were felt while eating. After having lunch, we went to Sarjekot Fort, clicked lots of photos, and visited Bhadrakali temple, Kolamb 🏝️ beach

, and some points in between. All the places were clean, and the weather was good, so we enjoyed our time. While roaming, people were so kind to help us and tell us the road; we were so thankful as there is no network to other sims than BSNL. Later that evening, we decided to have a modak and kaju curry thali, so we went to Shree Ganesh Homestay. Modaks were so tasty, filled with coconut, and tasted so 😋 yumm.

I was full by eating only 2 and so was bubbles, and we took the remaining with us to our hotel. After coming back to our hotel, we were so tired that we fell asleep.

A Cozy Night at Si Nonna’s: Pizza, Croquettes, and a Surprisingly Heartwarming Gelato

Recently, I visited Si Nonna’s again. I hadn’t planned on going back, but it just happened. It was a very cold night, and I was craving pizza, so we decided to go there. This time, we ordered pizza number 4, which consisted of fior di latte mozzarella, ricotta cheese, blue cheese, aged parmesan, homemade jalapeño salsa, homemade cherry tomato confit, fresh basil, and EVOO. We also ordered mozzarella and jalapeño croquettes. First, the croquettes arrived. They were okay, but not great. The filling was small, and there wasn’t enough of it, so I wasn’t particularly impressed. Then, our pizza came. We added a little more olive oil and tried to do a cheese pull, but it didn’t work out as expected. However, the taste of the pizza was really good — flavorful and satisfying. Although we were pretty full, there’s always room for dessert, right? I saw gelato and decided to try some. I ordered Sicilian pistachio gelato. It turned out to be delicious — so tasty from the very first bite. I stil...

Food, Films, and a Dash of Chaos: Our Journey to Bangalore Begins!

Today marked the start of our journey to Bangalore, though the actual trip kicks off tomorrow. With our train from Pune Junction scheduled for 8:30 PM, we had a full day to kill. Naturally, we decided to make the most of it by indulging in good food, catching a movie, and simply enjoying some quality time together. We kicked things off with lunch at  Mandala Hotpot ,  where we treated ourselves to some delicious Korean hotpot. The flavors were on point, and the portion size was generous enough to leave us completely stuffed. It took us nearly two hours to finish (totally worth it), and with our bellies happy, we decided to head to the movies. The nearest theatre had shows running mostly for  Pushpa 2 , which we’d already seen, so we opted for Mufasa . But here’s the catch—the show wasn’t until 3  PM, and we had a two-hour wait ahead of us. Since the mall didn’t have any proper seating areas, we wandered downstairs and found a spot at McDonald’s to...

The Day My Nepal Trip Got Cancelled by Just One Message

From Mumbai adventures to a cancelled train, here’s the emotional rollercoaster we never saw coming. Read on to discover how our journey to Nepal ended before it even began. Today is 13th April — the day our long-awaited journey to Nepal was supposed to begin. We had planned to travel by train, packed with excitement and dreams. But everything came crashing down with just one heartbreaking message . The day started with so much hope. I woke up early, completed my last-minute packing, although I was feeling a bit uneasy. Out of nowhere, I started coughing and even vomited. Still, I pulled myself together, prayed like every day, took blessings, and booked a cab to the bus station. We boarded a bus to Mumbai, costing ₹950 for two people. By 5 PM, we reached Dadar, Mumbai. Since our train to Nepal was scheduled at 10 PM, we thought of exploring a few places to kill time. Unfortunately, all the places I had planned to visit remained a dream because the taxi drivers were charging crazy amo...
