Did water activities in Malvan, 28 March 2024

Today was our last day in Malvan, so we decided to indulge in water sports. We headed to Chivla Beach in the morning around 7:15 after pre-booking the activities the previous night. Although it was past 7, the sun had yet to appear. We boarded the boat and were taken to see dolphins, spotting only a few. Later, we visited a very small island covered in shells and collected some as souvenirs. Our guides shared stories about other small islands we saw, which are now just broken stones.

By 9 am, we returned to the hotel, had breakfast, and changed into our swimwear for the water activities.

Back at Chivla Beach, we experienced scuba diving for the first time. The water was clean and calm, providing an enjoyable experience. However, we couldn't dive together as it wasn't allowed. We were provided video clips of our diving experience, featuring small, cute fishes. Next, we tried parasailing, with me opting for a deeper experience while bubbles kept it simple due to fear(Jk). Some people on the boat vomited due to the motion. Following that, we tried jet skiing, which ended quickly as we were only passengers, not riders. Then came the banana ride, where we were tossed into the water twice, but swimming wasn't an issue for us. Lastly, we tried another activity, the name of which I can't recall, but it was also enjoyable. After a day full of fun, I caught a cold, so we returned to the hotel around 5 or 6 pm, took a bath, and had dinner and fell asleep.

A Cozy Night at Si Nonna’s: Pizza, Croquettes, and a Surprisingly Heartwarming Gelato

Recently, I visited Si Nonna’s again. I hadn’t planned on going back, but it just happened. It was a very cold night, and I was craving pizza, so we decided to go there. This time, we ordered pizza number 4, which consisted of fior di latte mozzarella, ricotta cheese, blue cheese, aged parmesan, homemade jalapeño salsa, homemade cherry tomato confit, fresh basil, and EVOO. We also ordered mozzarella and jalapeño croquettes. First, the croquettes arrived. They were okay, but not great. The filling was small, and there wasn’t enough of it, so I wasn’t particularly impressed. Then, our pizza came. We added a little more olive oil and tried to do a cheese pull, but it didn’t work out as expected. However, the taste of the pizza was really good — flavorful and satisfying. Although we were pretty full, there’s always room for dessert, right? I saw gelato and decided to try some. I ordered Sicilian pistachio gelato. It turned out to be delicious — so tasty from the very first bite. I stil...

Food, Films, and a Dash of Chaos: Our Journey to Bangalore Begins!

Today marked the start of our journey to Bangalore, though the actual trip kicks off tomorrow. With our train from Pune Junction scheduled for 8:30 PM, we had a full day to kill. Naturally, we decided to make the most of it by indulging in good food, catching a movie, and simply enjoying some quality time together. We kicked things off with lunch at  Mandala Hotpot ,  where we treated ourselves to some delicious Korean hotpot. The flavors were on point, and the portion size was generous enough to leave us completely stuffed. It took us nearly two hours to finish (totally worth it), and with our bellies happy, we decided to head to the movies. The nearest theatre had shows running mostly for  Pushpa 2 , which we’d already seen, so we opted for Mufasa . But here’s the catch—the show wasn’t until 3  PM, and we had a two-hour wait ahead of us. Since the mall didn’t have any proper seating areas, we wandered downstairs and found a spot at McDonald’s to...
