A Boring Sunday, Bhel & Lessons on Consistency | June 14, 2026 Diary Entry

June 14, 2026 | A Boring Sunday and a Good Reminder

Today was Sunday.

And honestly, I don't really enjoy Sundays when I know I'm going to spend the entire day at home.

Some people love lazy Sundays.

I usually find them a little boring.

Lately, I've been binge-watching old vlogs by Sourav Joshi.

The funny thing is that I never used to watch his vlogs before. But these days, I've somehow fallen into a rabbit hole of watching his older videos.

Maybe it's the nostalgia.

Maybe it's the simplicity.

Or maybe it's because watching those old videos feels like seeing someone's journey from the beginning.

What I admire the most is his consistency.

Day after day, vlog after vlog, he kept showing up.

And honestly, that kind of commitment is not easy.

I also like how much he seems to care for his family. These days, we often hear people say that money changes people. Sometimes it does. But it's nice to see examples where success hasn't taken away someone's love and care for their family.

Watching those videos reminded me of something important.

Consistency and commitment matter.

We spend so much time waiting for motivation, waiting for the perfect moment, or overthinking what we want to do.

But nothing really happens unless we start.

And more importantly, unless we continue.

God can guide us, opportunities can come our way, but we still have to take the steps ourselves.

For brunch, I had dal chawal along with a spinach vegetable dish and some cucumber.

The rice was actually leftover from yesterday, and honestly, I don't think there's anything wrong with that. As long as the food is good, there's no point wasting it.

Everything tasted delicious.

Since it was a boring Sunday and there wasn't much happening, I ended up taking an afternoon nap.

And that pretty much sums up the excitement level of the day.

In the evening, we had plans to go out.

Or at least, we were supposed to.

But Mom had a kitty party and didn't get home until around 8:30 p.m.

By then, every plan had quietly canceled itself.

The worst part?

I was starving.

I had already mentally prepared myself to eat something nice outside, and suddenly that wasn't happening anymore.

At the same time, I was also tired of eating outside food.

So after debating our options, we settled on bhel.

Simple, quick, and honestly quite satisfying.

And that was pretty much my Sunday.

Not exciting.

Not memorable.

Not one of those days that turns into a great story.

But maybe that's okay.

Not every diary entry needs an adventure.

Sometimes it's just a boring Sunday, a bowl of bhel, a few YouTube videos, and a reminder that consistency matters more than motivation.

And maybe that's enough for one day.

Time to go back, Spent half day in Kolhapur 29 March 2024

Our Malvan trip ends here. We had breakfast and then headed to Kolhapur, and later Pune. Initially, we had a train scheduled for the night from Kolhapur to Pune, but it got cancelled. Therefore, we decided to stay in Kolhapur for a day. Since there were no buses available directly from Malvan to Kolhapur, we opted to go to Kankavli first, where we could find buses to Kolhapur. We arrived in Kolhapur in the afternoon, checked into the hotel, freshened up, ordered misal, which we thought would be spicy but turned out to be good, and then proceeded straight to the Mahalaxmi Mandir. Due to it being Friday, there was a large crowd, and we ended up waiting in line for about 20-30 minutes. After having our darshan, we returned to the hotel as it was already 8pm. We had a light dinner at the hotel and then went to sleep, as our bodies needed to recharge after thoroughly enjoying our time in Malvan. Xoxo ❤️  Gujjugirl

A Cozy Night at Si Nonna’s: Pizza, Croquettes, and a Surprisingly Heartwarming Gelato

Recently, I visited Si Nonna’s again. I hadn’t planned on going back, but it just happened. It was a very cold night, and I was craving pizza, so we decided to go there. This time, we ordered pizza number 4, which consisted of fior di latte mozzarella, ricotta cheese, blue cheese, aged parmesan, homemade jalapeño salsa, homemade cherry tomato confit, fresh basil, and EVOO. We also ordered mozzarella and jalapeño croquettes. First, the croquettes arrived. They were okay, but not great. The filling was small, and there wasn’t enough of it, so I wasn’t particularly impressed. Then, our pizza came. We added a little more olive oil and tried to do a cheese pull, but it didn’t work out as expected. However, the taste of the pizza was really good — flavorful and satisfying. Although we were pretty full, there’s always room for dessert, right? I saw gelato and decided to try some. I ordered Sicilian pistachio gelato. It turned out to be delicious — so tasty from the very first bite. I stil...
