3 Days of My Life | Food, Work, Family & Everyday Moments

Three Days of Simple Living | Food, Family & Finding Balance The past three days have been a mix of routines, good food, work, and little reminders that life doesn't always have to be exciting to be meaningful. My mornings have been fairly consistent lately. Early wake-ups, walks, workouts, reading, and trying to stay away from my phone for the first few hours of the day. I've noticed that when I start my mornings slowly, the rest of the day feels less chaotic. One thing I'm trying to work on is my diet. For breakfast one day, I had a two-egg omelette with sugar-free black tea. I'm slowly trying to reduce sugar from my daily routine. Not because I don't love sweets—I absolutely do—but because I know my body will thank me later. I'm not planning to give up sweetness completely though. Life without sweets sounds a little too sad, so I'm looking for healthier alternatives like dates. Food has definitely been one of the highlights of these past few days. T...

Trying to Eat Healthy as a Foodie | June 16, 2026 Daily Diary

June 16, 2026 | Trying to Be Healthy While Being a Foodie The morning started exactly the way I like it. An early wake-up, my usual routine, some quiet time for myself, and a peaceful start to the day. Lately, I've realized that having a routine makes a huge difference. The day just feels more organized when the morning starts well. For breakfast, I had a two-egg omelette with black tea. No sugar. Yes, I'm actually trying to reduce my sugar intake these days. Not because I suddenly became a health expert, but because I know too much sugar isn't doing me any favors. The problem is that I genuinely love sweet things. I don't think I could ever completely remove sweetness from my life. So instead of trying to quit everything at once, I'm looking for healthier alternatives like dates and making small changes wherever I can. After breakfast, I read the newspaper and got straight to work. And honestly, the rest of the day was mostly about one thing: Work. Work. And more...

Dad's Birthday, Homemade Ragi Cake & A Quiet Day | June 12, 2026 Diary Entry

June 12, 2026 | Dad's Birthday & A Quiet Day Today was my dad's birthday. Unlike many people, Dad has never been a fan of midnight celebrations. So instead of staying up late, we celebrated in the morning, which honestly feels more like him. The cake was one I had made yesterday and kept in the refrigerator overnight. It was a ragi cake, and although it turned out pretty good, it definitely didn't look exactly like the one in the YouTube video I followed. Then again, when does that ever happen? The texture was different because of the ragi, but it was delicious, and that's what matters. Sometimes homemade things don't need to be perfect to be special. We cut the cake, celebrated together, and gave Dad his gifts. The day itself was simple. I worked, had my meals, and went about my usual routine. But for some reason, I felt a little strange. Not sad exactly. Just a little disappointed that nothing particularly special happened. Which is funny because we don'...

June 10, 2026 Diary Entry | Idli, Lemon Iced Tea & A Simple Day

June 10, 2026 | Idli, Iced Tea & Waiting for Rain Today started exactly the same way most of my days do these days—I woke up early and went for my morning walk. Honestly, I'm starting to enjoy this routine. There's something peaceful about beginning the day without rushing into it. Today's breakfast was different though. Mom had made idli, chutney, and sambar. The moment I saw the plate, I immediately remembered that random meme: "dosa, idli, sambar, chutney, chutney" and couldn't stop laughing to myself. Anyways, I had my idlis with podi masala, sambar, and chutney, and it was so good. Soft idlis, flavorful sambar, and that extra kick from the podi masala—definitely one of those breakfasts that makes you want a second serving even when you're already full. And of course, I followed it up with a cup of coffee. Creamy, comforting, and exactly how I like it. Since I didn't have much work today, I spent some time helping my dad at the shop. Nothing...

Returning to Writing After 3 Years

Starting My Diary Again After 3 Years | June 9, 2026 Today is 9th June. Around this time last year, I was admitted to the hospital. Definitely not a memory I enjoy revisiting. Even thinking about it makes me a little nervous. At the same time, it reminds me how important it is to take care of our health. We often take it for granted until something goes wrong. But enough about that. Let's talk about today. I woke up early and went for my morning walk. Lately, I've stopped taking my phone with me. In fact, I try not to use my phone at all until at least 10 a.m. I wanted to give myself a few screen-free hours after waking up. The walking area is very close to my house, so I'm not worried about missing anything important. If there's ever an emergency, my family knows where I am, and there are plenty of familiar people around. Honestly, walking without my phone feels different. There's no scrolling, no notifications, no constant urge to check something. Just me, the f...
